📌 Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit (as on 01.07.2025):

  • General (OC): 18 – 26 years
  • BC, BC(M), MBC/DC, DNC: 18 – 28 years
  • SC, SC(A), ST: 18 – 31 years
  • Destitute Widow: 18 – 37 years
  • Ex-Servicemen / Police Departmental Candidates: Up to 45 years

Educational Qualification:

  • Must have passed 10th Standard / SSLC or its equivalent from a recognized Board.
  • Candidates with higher qualifications are also welcome to apply.

Knowledge of Tamil:

  • Must possess adequate knowledge of the Tamil language.

Physical Standards (Minimum):

  • Height:
    • Male (OC/BC/MBC/DNC): 170 cm | SC/ST: 167 cm
    • Female & Transgender (OC/BC/MBC/DNC): 159 cm | SC/ST: 157 cm
  • Chest (Male only): 81 cm normal, 86 cm on expansion

  1. Written Examination (Objective type – SSLC standard)
    • General Knowledge
    • Psychology Test
    • Total: 80 marks
  2. Physical Measurement Test (PMT)
    • Height and chest measurement
  3. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) (15 marks)
    • Rope climbing, 100m run, 400m run, shot put, long jump
  4. Endurance Test
  5. Certificate Verification
  6. Medical Test
  7. Final Selection based on written exam + PET + reservation rules.
